What is Health Coaching?

As Americans, we have gotten accustomed to the “easy fix,”  often in the form of pills, plastic surgery and convenience foods.  We want to be told what to do or given something so that we can achieve quick results.  While this type of mentality works in the short term, almost always the diet isn’t sustainable or the weight comes back after the vacation and we are back to where we started.  While medications may play an important role in managing chronic diseases, there are a number of things we can do to decrease our chances of being diagnosed with a disease, manage our illness, change our weight, manage our stress, improve our mental health, etc. that don’t require more than a plan, guidance, support and willpower. 

In fact, more and more health care professionals are partnering with health coaches to provide their patients with additional support and guidance on a variety of health related topics.

Health coaching is not prescriptive, as in traditional medicine and there is not a one size fits all.   Health coaching creates a collaborative relationship between client and coach that empowers you to identify the areas you desire for health improvement and establishes a partnership to create a manageable realistic plan that leads to long term results and changes in lifestyle.  

Health coaching puts you in the driver seat of your own health.  Along with me, your health coach, I will provide you accountability, non-judgmental support and guidance so you obtain the change you wish to see.

Indivdiual Coaching

Work 1:1 privately with me.  We will personalize a plan and focus directly on your needs.  I will provide undivided attention, support and accountability.

Group Coaching

Do you prefer a group atmoshphere?  Group coaching provides an opportunity to connect with women that share in your challenges while making positive change.  Check out current events and offerings.

Worksite Wellness

Do you own a business or work for one that would like to offer support for employees in the areas of health and well-being?  I offer services to improve engagement, productivity and retention while helping improve the health of your businesses most important asset.

Our virtual meetings will be bi-weekly for 30-60 minutes.  We will set clear goals and a manageable plan that will help you “create” time in your day for yourself!

You may have tried multiple “quick” fixes.  An exercise program that promises results in 21 days or a diet that you could eat nothing and once you quit the program the weight comes back.  Real life happens and you were back to the same old thing, discouraged and feeling worse than before. 

Through our partnership we will uncover your true desires and create a meaningful program with realistic goals that lead to lasting results built on sustainable behaviors.

I Feel Guilty

I wish someone would have told me that when I became a mom I was guaranteed two things:  worry and guilt.  

Whether right or wrong we moms have guilt when we spend time on ourselves, yet we all know that a woman who is happy, fulfilled and healthy is an even better mom, wife, friend, etc.  It is easier said than done, that’s for sure!

We will work together to overcome guilt and create a plan that doesn’t make you pick family over yourself and allows you to become your best version of yourself.

I Don't Know Where to Start

It can feel overwhelming to embark on a new journey.  Being vulnerable and sharing your true barriers can be difficult.

As your health coach I will provide un-conditional and non-judgmental support.  

We will start off at the place you are at and focus on what you want to focus on.  We will move at a pace that is comfortable for you.  I will challenge you to believe in yourself and push you to expand your thinking to achieve your goals.

I Am Tired and Stretched Thin

Whew!  A mother’s job seems to never be done and often we feel tired and worn out.  While there are definitely times when we will be exhausted and stretched thin it doesn’t have to be a daily occurrence.

Let me help you create realistic goals and assist you in organizing and prioritizing your day so that you can achieve your vision and increase your energy.
